Frequently asked questions
What does the installation fee cover?
The one-time installation fee covers kiosk hardware, system integration, branded setup, and initial consignment inventory. It also includes onboarding into the Dyspensr platform for inventory management, fulfillment, reporting, and ongoing support.
Can you integrate with our existing menus and systems?
Yes. Dyspensr is designed to integrate with leading retail POS systems and menus, including platforms like Dutchie. We aim to work within your existing setup, not replace it, connecting the kiosk, online store, and in-store experience to your current systems.
Do you provide displays, shelving, or kiosks?
Whenever possible, we integrate into your current kiosks, displays, and store layout. If needed, we can also provide kiosks and custom display solutions for a clean, branded experience that fits your retail space.
How does the consignment model work? Do you restock inventory?
Inventory is provided on consignment, so you do not purchase products upfront. As items sell, stock is monitored and replenished. Products are sold at standard retail pricing, with the same margins as traditional wholesale before the service fee. Dyspensr retains a 7.5% share of each completed sale, with no ongoing monthly costs.
Can we choose which accessories are offered?
Product selection is guided by performance data and real retail insights. The team actively manages the product mix while incorporating your input to align with your store and customer base.
What happens if a product is not selling?
We continuously monitor performance and adjust the assortment. Underperforming items can be replaced with better-performing products so you are not left managing inventory that is not selling.
What happens to online orders?
Online orders are fulfilled and delivered to your store for customer pickup. The program also offers kiosk orders with ship-to-store pickup, typically within 3–5 business days.
Can we purchase consignment products at wholesale?
Once products prove to be strong sellers, the program allows you to purchase those SKUs at wholesale and stock them yourself, while continuing to test new products through consignment.
Do you support custom kiosk or display builds?
Yes. We can work with your team on custom kiosk or display solutions that fit your store layout, branding, and customer experience goals.
How much inventory is included at launch?
The program typically starts with approximately $2,000 in consignment inventory, ranging between 20–40 SKUs as part of the initial setup.
What are the profit margins on consignment products?
The program describes typical product margins of approximately 50% at standard retail pricing, before Dyspensr's 7.5% share of each completed sale. Actual margins depend on the products and pricing; the program has no additional ongoing monthly costs.
Who handles the technical infrastructure?
Smoke Source is a Dyspensr brand. Dyspensr owns the Smoke Source marketplace, technology, and app, and provides the backend infrastructure, including integrations, payment processing, reporting, and system management, so your team can focus on retail operations.
